Installation Overview

Do not install Intel^® Packet Protect until you have set up your Intel^® adapters and configured PROSet II to enable IPSec.

To install (or update) Intel Packet Protect

1. Installation Preparation - Check to make sure your system is ready to install Intel Packet Protect.

2. Set Up Adapters - Install and set up your Intel adapter and configure PROSet II to enable support for IPSec. 

3. Install (or update) Intel Packet Protect from the Intel CD. 

Using Prior Versions of Intel Packet Protect 

You can run a network with mixed versions of Intel Packet Protect. However, if you are using Entrust certificates, you must download a software patch and update the computers with the older version of Intel Packet Protect. Go to http://support.intel.com, go to the downloads page, and search by filename for "pprpatch".

To uninstall Intel Packet Protect

If you need to uninstall Intel Packet Protect, follow these steps.
